I started my coaching career at the age of 18, as a head coach for my town's local recreation program. From there, I continued to work with kids as a volunteer for many local programs. At the age of 20, I became a coach traveling throughout the United States with Major League Soccer (MLS). I worked with MLS for three years. During those years, I had mentors from different countries such as England, Wales, and Ireland.

As I became an experienced coach, I moved to L.A. and became a teacher. I taught at the primary (elementary) level. Being a teacher taught me many lessons that I can use on and off the fields/courts.

I've brought my experiences and qualifications to Laos where I am currently a lead Physical Education Teacher and Athletics Director at Vientiane Pattana School (VPS). In Laos, I created the Vientiane Schools Sports Association (VSSA), a PE and athletics program at VPS, and The Chanthavone Football Club (TCFC).

Our mission is to remove the barriers of sports participation among the youth of Laos. We aim to be a sustainable football program with the sole purpose of advocating education, health, and fitness. This is true grassroots, where sports live and breathe organically...
